From a documentary-style approach, where the recording and cataloguing of spatial elements seems to be the goal of his images, rocks, pastures and sky merge into a chromatic, luminous flatness like a painted studio background or a cinema set in which the photographer moves alone.
The shift, even the to-and-fro, between these two states of the image allows the unexpected to emerge, the place of mystery. Cinema without staging or photographic studio, with no actors other than the elements and markers of the landscape. The presences that alter this landscape are thus made visible by a rustle, a suspended and indistinct movement, cutting into the rocks, weak points of the massifs and miniature ecosystems teeming with life.
